Like what most of the iPhone users have faced, the battery woes didn’t get fixed on iOS5.0.1. It is common to have iPhone being charged at least once a day.

At some point, I’m considering to get a battery case, instead of trying to squeeze little more power juice out of my iPhone by disabling 90% of the push notifications. I also give up that thoughts of getting some unknown China brand battery case, after aware of the China built quality.

Among most the of the battery case, this is the thinnest and the lightest one. It weights only 2 ounces and with only 9.6mm thickness. It is almost 5 – 8mm thinner than most of the battery case in the market.

The Incipio Offgrid caught my eye because of how thin it is… for $45 I think its a steal… retail at $70. This case is just wonderful, battery charges my phone from 10% to about 75% which is great for only $45. It has a sleek design which i like. I bought this for my verizon iPhone 4, the edges are very close by the ringer switch but it does not interfere at all. headphone jack is recessed a lot ,but doesn’t bother me, my bose headphone fit the jack, and i bought a thin 3.5 M-M audio cable from scoshe, which does not fit btw, so i ordered an adapter. I am super picky and I love this case for my pampered iphone 4. Before I even get to the actual use of the battery, let me start by saying the fit and finish on this case is just superb. It fits so seamlessly over the iphone that the Juice Pack and the iphone together just seem like one unit. It really does not make the phone that heavy either in my view.

As for the battery, if you use the phone a good bit during the day surfing the internet, texting, watching youtube, etc., this this is your new case. The iphone 4 battery is far superior than the one on the iphone 3g. I am not sure if the Mophie Juice Pack doubles the iphone 4 battery, but it might come close. I can easily get a full 100% iPhone 4 charge out of it on every use. I also like how you can select operational modes using the power switch. Early in January, Amazon released Send to Kindle for PC. It is useful but most users thought function like this should have been there in the first place.

It serves a simple function, similar to the conversion documents into PDF, instead of printing out to printer, it ‘prints’ out and delivers the file to your Amazon Whispernet account.

You will get to see ‘Send to Kindle‘ appear as a option in your Print Dialog box.

Disable MPlayerX Animated Full Screen on Mac OS X Lion

After knowing the development for SPlayerX has been stopped for more than 1 year, I jump back to use MPlayerX. After all, SPlayerX is fork from MPlayerX, that time I purchased SPlayerX was because of the auto subtitles download feature. But now, seem a lot bugs on SPlayerX still has not fixed yet.

On MPlayerX, there are some hidden functions which does not show on the Preference. Such as the animated full screen features that used the Mac OS X Lion is quite annoying, to make it work like the old time, you need to use terminal to access it.

cd ~/Library/Preferences
defaults write org.niltsh.MPlayerX OldFullScreenMethod YES
