在一封已发布于 MSN Discussion 公开新闻组中的邮件显示：MSN Groups 将于 2009 年 2 月 21 日关闭，而 Windows Live Groups 将于 2008 年 11 月 17 日推出。

MSN Groups service to close on February 21 2009. Users can still be used until that day, but will no longer have the ability to add additional storage capacity to it.

There was a company with Multiply, a service of Media Group and sharing online, to create a migration process that moves the service to MSN Groups (Multiply), so in that way preserve the online community and the history of the group MSN.

A new service, Windows Live groups, will be launched on November 17 2008. Customers have 3 options to move his team to a new service:

1. Automatically move your MSN and its data set to Multiply. This option is free and easy to use: Multiply move the contents of the MSN group and invited members to return to join his group in this new position.

2. Start from scratch in another department. Customers can start from scratch and create your group in a different service. However, we recommend you leave your group will automatically move to Multiply. This will enable the group to an easy transition, and users can continue to enjoy the communities that have created.

3. Start from scratch on Windows Live group. To further expand our exchange and communication services, Windows Live will launch this new service. It is expected to launch Windows Live groups to the public on November 17, 2008. Multiply site: _http://multiply.com/msngroupimport% 20% 20.

在这个版本中没有新功能，但对稳定性进行了加强，另外就是支持了 Silverlight 2。

对应 Deep Zoom Composer 的服务 PhotoZoom 也更新了，能和新版的 Silverlight 2 完美配合。

FUSS 已经给我们介绍过 Microsoft 14 日正式发布 Silverlight 2 及相应更新，当然，现在你已经可以通过访问 http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight 下载最新的 Silverlight 2 的更新。

对于这个曾经以很快速度出现在我们视线并令大家耳熟能详的新名词 Silverlight ，目前世界上有 25% 的 PC 已经安装了，恐怕对此在为时 17 天的北京奥运期间，微软的合作伙伴 NBCOlympics.com 站点是功不可没的。

如果你还是没有安装 Silverlight 也没关系，微软与其合作伙伴一起即将推出一系列的基于 Silverlight 技术的站点及应用，而要访问他们的站点，浏览你需要的内容，你，似乎没有别的选择咯。

2008 年 8 月，在为时 17 天的北京奥运会期间，基于 Silverlight 技术的 NBCOlympics.com 站点，拥有 5 千万的来访者 13 亿的页面访问量，7 千万的视频流量，总计 6 亿分钟的视频被观看。此间该网站的访客平均逗留时间从 3 分钟增至 27分钟， Silverlight 因此在美国的市场份额增至了 30%；

2008 年 8 月，同样基于 Silverlight 技术的美国民主选举的站点开放，当然，从而增加的 Silverlight 的用户量可想而知；

即将开放的基于 Silverlight 技术的 CBS 大学体育联赛的站点，将会为超过 150 所大学院校提供超过两万小时的比赛视频直播；

AOL 将为其接近 6 千万的邮件服务用户提供新版本的邮件浏览器，同样基于 Silverlight 2 技术；

Yahoo! Japan 今天正式开始启动基于 Silverlight 技术在线直播主要的篮球联赛；

Blockbuster、Hard Rock International、Toyota、 HSN等等很多站点/公司站点都将相继加入 Silverlight 的队伍；

另外，在 PDC 中还将涵盖更多的关于 Silverlight 的相关内容，当然也包括支持即将支持手持移动设备的消息。

相比 Flash 来说，我们不得不承认，支持 Firefox 浏览器是 Silverlight 一个相当大的卖点，而作为微软的产品， Silverlight 似乎从更大的层面走了更多的捷径。而如此一来，似乎目前有 25% 的 PC 安装了 Silverlight，仅仅只是一个开始而已，借用 Picturepan2 的口头禅，让我们拭目以待吧

Live Messenger Wave3 无法登录？试试这个吧

当你尝试登录 Windows Live Messenger 9 Wave3 的时候，却收到以下错误信息：

Error 84cb0004
Error 84cb000a
Error 81000451

错误的原因就在于本地 Messenger 联系人数据损坏。Mess.be 给出了官方 KB 的解决方法链接：http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/958574。在这里我就翻译下 Vista 系统的解决方法：

a. 定位至以下目录:

C:\Users\用户名\Contacts\Messenger_e-mail_address

b. 删除该目录下的所有文件

c. 定位至以下目录

C:\Users\用户名\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts

d. 删除该目录下所有文件，包括隐藏文件夹

e. 尝试登录 Windows Live Messenger

XP 用户也好去 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/958574 看方法的，基本类似的。

Microsoft 于 10 月 14 日正式发布 Silverlight 2

Microsoft 将会在于 10 月 14 日正式发布 Silverlight 2，微软的 Silverlight 是一个跨浏览器，跨平台，跨设备的，基于 .NET 的媒体体验及 Web 富交互应用的插件。

以下是更新项目，我就不翻译了 :D。

•.NET Framework support with a rich base class library. This is a compatible subset of the full .NET Framework.
• Powerful built-in controls. These include DataGrid, ListBox, Slider, ScrollViewer, Calendar controls and more.
• Advanced skinning and templating support. This makes it easy to customize the look and feel of an application.
• Deep zoom. This enables unparalleled interactivity and navigation of ultrahigh resolution imagery.
• Comprehensive networking support. Out-of-the-box support allows calling REST, WS*/SOAP, POX, RSS and standard HTTP services, enabling users to create applications that easily integrate with existing back-end systems. • Expanded .NET Framework language support. Unlike other runtimes, Silverlight 2 supports a variety of programming languages, including Visual Basic, C#, JavaScript, IronPython and IronRuby, making it easier for developers already familiar with one of these languages to repurpose their existing skill sets.
• Advanced content protection. This now includes Silverlight DRM, powered by PlayReady, offering robust content protection for connected Silverlight experiences.
• Improved server scalability and expanded advertiser support. This includes new streaming and progressive download capabilities, superior search engine optimization techniques, and next-generation in-stream advertising support.
• Vibrant partner ecosystem. Visual Studio Industry Partners such as ComponentOne LLC, Infragistics Inc. and Telerik Inc. are providing products that further enhance developer capabilities when creating Silverlight applications using Visual Studio.

另外，据 Mary Jo Foley 称 Silverlight 将会支持 Google Chrome 浏览器，但不支持 iPhone（Flash 播放器也不支持 iPhone，看起来是苹果不允许第三方开发）；微软计划在 PDC 上公开目前 Silverlight for Windows Mobile 的情况；微软目前在和 Nokia 合作开发 Symbian 手机上的 Silverlight；有传言称微软和 RIM 共同开发黑莓上的 Silverlight。

新版 Windows Live Profile Wave3 服务（附图）

在 Picturepan2 的帮助下，我终于使用上了新版 Account（Wave3），从使用过程中来看，微软已经将 Account 的名字和头像应用于整个 Windows Live 系列产品线了。如果说，Wave1 是将 Windows Live 的服务从 MSN 迁移过来，Wave2 是加强和补充 Windows Live 的产品，那么，Wave3 就是整合 Windows Live 各个服务了。从更加统一的 UI 开始，以及一个个服务之间的整合，现在我们又能观察到 Windows Live Wave3 中的名字和头像已经成为了一个统一的身份标识了。

另外一个发现：不少信息都可以分别设置比之前更加细致的访问权限，详情可以点击下图中的右面那张。

前些日子任平生给出涂鸦的 Profile 截图多少有一些价值（感觉他已经使用上了，或者知道了些什么才有兴趣这么做的），根据他的 Windows Live Profile 模拟图，大家又可以 YY 一阵子了。

又听说那个 Live To Me 论坛（不是叫 LiveSino 的吗？）开始活动了，找机会和大家交流下，报名评选 MVP 的牛人们，大家可要加油了啊。

Windows Live Messenger Wave3 扩展：MessengerDiscovery 2

由于 PP2 的多次推荐，我决定尝试下 MessengerDiscovery（叫它 Messenger 扩展，插件或外挂都没错，通俗来讲就是 Messenger 的“珊瑚虫”，和 QQ 一样，Messenger 的这类扩展程序也有几种），最近才推出的 MessengerDiscovery 2.0.0959 是针对 Windows Live Messenger 2009(9) Wave3 更新的。但由于测试版并不稳定，大家自己权衡一下是否需要安装。

"This version is 80% compatible with Windows Live Messenger 2009 Beta (version 9), most features work but the MessengerDiscovery engine has not been thoroughly tested.

Product support will NOT be given for this version. This is not a measure of the finished version of MessengerDiscovery 2 and should not be thought of in that way.

This version is simply a public showcase of the intense development of MessengerDiscovery 2."

MessengerDiscovery（点击这里直接下载 MessengerDiscovery 2）也支持多开，去广告，消息加密，视频录像，家长控制，好友管理器，头像管理器，增强版的 Alerts 提醒，等许多小功能。我着重介绍好友管理器，头像管理器和 Alerts 功能。1. 好友管理器。不仅仅可以知道对方是否加你为好友，对方使用的 Messenger 版本，最后一次看到的在线时间，更有趣的就是“盗用”对方的头像，昵称还有状态消息功能。

2. 头像管理器。自己的，好友的头像都可以看到，还有一些基本的操作功能 - 保存，使用对方的头像等等。连头像文件的大小也能看的。

3. 增强版的 Alerts 提醒。设置提醒的内容，比如好友下线，好友修改状态等11种选项，还可以换 Alerts 的皮肤，下面左边的这张图就是默认的皮肤。

同类软件中，最强大也最有潜力的还属 Messenger Plus! Live 了，皮肤和脚本平台，标签式窗口模式，聊天记录查看器，多开功能，好友清理等也都相当受欢迎的。或许微软该收购 MsgPlus! Live，本地化功能就好用脚本平台搞定了，不再需要各市场自己修改 Messenger 程序搞得不伦不类的。

如果要去掉 Windows Live Messenger 9.0 Wave 3 的广告，A-Patch 是可以的。注意：这句话只是陈述事实，并没有表明我个人以及 LiveSino 对去广告补丁的态度。

另外，黑莓上的 Windows Live Messenger 更新了，我们并没发现什么明显的更新。

根据 Mary-Jo Foley 和 Angus Logan 的介绍，我们了解到 Microsoft 为其“秘密培训计划”推出了 Live Services Jumpstart 2009 站点。为期两天的培训计划将会在全球 11 个城市举办，并涉及多项的 Windows Live 技术：

这些恰好都是目前微软 Dev.live.com 提供的 API 和 SDK 的技术，另外还有几点值得大家注意的：

Live Services Jumpstart 的域名为什么是 www.lpjumpstart.com？按常理来说应该是 www.lsjumpstart.com。
Live Services 的 Logo 为什么采用了 Live Mesh 的 Logo？
在一些国家，MSN 已经成为了 Windows Live Messenger 的代名词了。

在月底的 PDC 上，我们可能看到更新版的 API 和 SDK，我对新的 Windows Cloud OS，还有 Windows 7 比较感兴趣的。为此，你做好准备了吗？

Yahoo 推出 Web Analytics 分析，及新日历服务

Yahoo 本周推出了 Yahoo Web Analytics (beta)，根据 Jitendra Kavathekar 的介绍，该服务早已对一些 Yahoo 广告商和第三方程序开发者开放了。

有趣的是，Microsoft, Yahoo, Google 三家公司的 Web Analytics 分析服务都是收购来的，并且都免费了:

Microsoft – AdCenter Analytics: Deepmetrix.
Yahoo – Web Analytics: IndexTools.
Google – Analytics: Urchin.

在 Yahoo Web Analytics FAQ 中，Yahoo 列出了三点相对其他对手的优势：

Real-time Data: “While some analytics products provide data 24-48 hours after collection, Yahoo! Web Analytics reflects data within minutes of collection.”
Raw Data: “While some products store aggregated data, which restricts the usefulness of the data to pre-created or canned reports, Yahoo! Web Analytics stores data in non-aggregated raw form.”
Ease-of-Use and Flexibility

我认为其中的第一条实时数据非常有竞争力，的确，其他服务基本都是需要 24 – 48 小时更新数据，而 Yahoo 的 Web Analytics 只有几分钟。下面附了几张图，了解更多请点击这里，更多截图看这里。

而 Windows Live Calendar，尽管已经和 Live Mail 整合了，但我更希望有手机版的 Live Calendar，以及更完善、且能完美支持中文的 Live Alerts 服务。
