Found new CMB branch in the east of wuxi

Recently, I’ve found two branchs of CMB(China Merchants Bank, my favorite bank) in the east of bank. One is at the south side of East Xue Qian Road near Ni Hai Li, and the another is in DongTing town, at the east side of YouYi road, beside Dong Fang Ya Ju. Compare to other state-owned banks, CMB provides better serives and convenient e-Bank function. The only shortcoming is the limition of its branch. I am sure if develop more branchs in Wuxi and even in Jiangsu province, CMB can occupy more market quota rapidly.

KFC, out of water

This afternoon, before take the train on 17:26. I went to the KFC at Suzhou railway station for the supple. I ordered the tea. However, I was told there was no hot drink at that moment because something wrong with water supply.

Furthermore, I can’t even wash my hand because of the same reason. Fortunately, I have the wet napkin in the bag. The couple near me seems not so lucky. The girl has just finished some test without washing the hand. She has to use the dry napkin to fetch the hamburger.

I was wondering the even after I am on the train. Is the water the necessary fact for the KFC? Without the water supply, is KFC qualified to sell the food? Seems a bit complicated.

I’ve changed the company

I’ve changed the company. The business is same.

What attract me is that this company is running by a team instead of work individually. Each one is charge of different responsibility. I like the feeling working in the same camp. I’ve being the new company for some days and I enjoy the teamwork very much.

Furthermore, and also of the importance, There are many jobs I can do here. I am afraid I won’t have the enough time to update my blog frequently. I will try my best. And now I like the feeling to write something and publish them.

Some brainstorm software

Recently, I’ve found some brainstorm software from the blog.

I’ve tried some of them and now there are 2 softwares remain in my laptop.

One is personal brain. The feature I like is that it can centralize the thought. Therefore, user can concentrate on the specific thought only. Just the same work manner like humans brain. With the pro version, it is available to attach the files to the thoughts. However, I think the best usage is to store the thoughts and establish the complicate relations among thoughts.

When the rough thoughts are created, I think MindManager is better than personal brain to implement. MindManager can display the project steps and facts in a clear way. And it is very easy to find the documents for the projects.

Internet is really great. There so many amazing things waiting for us there.

Metro accepts credit card now

Today when I check out at Metro, I found now they accept the credit. I pay the the bill by my CMB card.

I suspect in the past years, Metro lost many business due the credit card issue. Especially in the holidays such as the Spring Festival. It is inconvenient and unsafe to bring a lot of cash. And the in these two years, more and more Chinese are used to use credit card for shopping. It Metro refuses to change, they will face the strong competition from other large supermarket such as Carrefour, Auchan and Lotus.

Wireless broadband router works with emule

Ever before, I was using the ADSL modem as a router. The router provided DHCP service and it has the port forwarding function. With the proper setting on the router, both my desktop and notebook can running emule with “HighID” which enhance the download speed. However, some days ago, when I began to use wireless broadband router, emule can’t work with “HighID” after I’ve tried many settings. And I’ve search the Internet, the other ones’ solution can’t work on my equipment. And it can’t work even I’ve upgrade the firmware. ‘ve beening suffering from this problem for long time. This morning, when I made some setting on the “firewall” section, the TCP port of emule works. However, when add “UDP” setting, it doesn’t work. And I also found the rules can’t be delete! It is really strange. So I remove all the settings I’ve changed to the router and add the rule one by one. And now I found the difference, when add the rules to “virtue server”, the system add a rule to “firewall” automatically. After add the rules for TCP and UDP for emule, they both work well. Furthermore, it now also work with P2P VOD system.

Credit card upgrade

This morning, I got the phone from CMB(China Mechants Bank). Via the phone, the staff told me that my CMB credit card can be upgraded to golded card. The benefit is that the overdraft can be more higher than normal one. Accordingly, the annual fee for golden is RMB300. It can be exempt if the usage times exceed 6 for one year. However, the new golden card they planned for me is a Master card instead of VISA. That means I will have a extra card in the wallet, so I refuse the suggestion. And I ask for the upgrade for original CMB-Ctrip joint-signed card.

The CMB-Ctrip joint-signed card is issued two years. It is very special not for joint-signed, but the color is black, different from the other credit card.

At Shanghai railway station, ctrip has a rest room for the passengers who hold the ctrip cards. I used to access the Internet and watch ctrip magazines there. The rest room locates in the soft seat waiting area.

This morning, as usual, when waiting for the bus, I bought a piece of Jiangnan evening paper. When turned to second page, I saw my cyber name -”james0″. It is the first time, I can change my words into type. A bit exciting.

The article I written is about the general situation on home decoration. I believe it can may people if they wanna buy the materials for the decoration.

Amazing Chinese medicine

Helen has been suffered from coryza for several months. One month ago, we went to see the doctor at No.2 People’s hospital. After eaten all the tablet, the symptom is even a bit worse.

Two weeks ago, we went to Wuxi Chinese medicine hospital. Beside the tablet, we took back a piece of plaster. According to doctor’s instruction, I paste it on the specific point on the back of Helen’s neck. The doctor said that this plaster should be pasted there for 3 days.

When Helen went to work, her foreign colleague wondering the treatment, why paste the plaster at such a place far from the nose.

However, the result proves the Chinese medicine. One week later, the coryza is cured completely.

House rent suggestion for foreigners in Wuxi

Most foreigners in Wuxi are working in the New District. According to my experience, there are 3 choices for foreigners to rent a house.

1. Near office.
I don’t think it is a good choice. Because New District is too far away from downtown. Foreigners are used to night life, however, if live too far away from downtown, transportation is inconvenient.

2. In downtown.
Yes, in downtown it is very convenient for the life. However, the traffic situation is too bad, especially for rush hour. Driving at that time is really a disaster. Furthermore, the rent price is high and the house is a bit old.

3. Residence along north Changjiang road
I do think it is a good choice. More and more foreigners are used to live there, and they are focusing two communities: Changjiang GuoJi(Changjiang International garden) and Yichun apartment. As Changjiang Guoji is quite muture now, the rent price is much higher. Now Yichun apartment could be the choice. Distance to both Auchen supermarket and Xindi square are not too long.

How to rent house and how much is the cost?
In general, foreigners can rent house through qualified agency.
The rent fee varies from RMB2000 to more than RMB10000 depend on square and decoration. It is better to find the house whose landlord can speak English. The commission for agency is one-month’s rent fee.
