What is affiliate marketing? “Affiliate Marketing” is a popular method of promoting web businesses in which you (the affiliate) are rewarded for every visitor, subscriber and/or customer provided through your efforts, much like the practice of paying finder’s-fees for the introduction of new clients to a business. Compensation may be made based on a certain value for each visit (Pay per click), registrant (Pay per lead), or a commission for each customer or sale (Pay per Sale), or any combination of the three.

Affiliate Marketing is one of the best ways to make money online because there is little to no scamming or fraud. In fact, many home based affiliate business owners rely on affiliate marketing for their entire income.

First, let’s take a look at the overall concept of Affiliate Marketing. The process starts when a company has a successful product to offer. The company will build a web site and offer that product to the consumer (or internet user). The next hurdle the company has to overcome is getting web traffic to their site. So, if an affiliate gets 100 people each month to click on an ad and fill in their information on the company’s web site they would make $1600.00. The company would have made $4,000 from the referrals and it will have only cost them the $1600.00. Again, both the company and the affiliate succeed in with this method because the company has extra sales it would not have had without the home based affiliate business and the affiliate gets paid for a product they do not manage or own.

Now, I don’t know about you but as for myself, I don’t mind having an extra $1600.00 each month from a website that maintains itself. Now, imagine having 10 web sites that all do the same thing for different affiliate programs.

First of all, by “make money online” I mean all the Internet marketing niches, including blogging, social media, SEO, affiliate marketing and so on.

The question I am asking is: should someone who is getting started online enter the Internet marketing niche directly?

Many people seem to think so, judging by the amount of blogs and websites we see popping out in this niche every month.

In my opinion, however, this is a mistake.

Why? Because entering a mainstream niche (e.g., health care, education, finance, travel and so on) can be easier, because there might be less competition there, and more profitable, because the size of the potential audience is much larger. That is why they are called “mainstream” after all, because they appeal to the majority of the population, while Internet marketing has a really small audience in comparison.

Given these facts, why do people insist in entering the Internet marketing niche? I think for one main reason: the Internet marketing community is more vocal about its earnings, strategies and what not, so people get the idea that talking about making money online is the best way to actually make money online.

This is clearly not true.

There are many people out there making a killing in mainstream niches, the only difference is that they don’t blog about how much money they are earning, about the strategies they are using to achieve it and so on.

Now don’t get me wrong. Internet marketing is a profitable niche. I am not arguing otherwise. I am just saying that, in comparison, mainstream niches can be even more profitable.

At this point you might be thinking: “It is easy for you to say Daniel, but you have a blog about blogging and a course about making money online.” This is true, but I also have many other online properties in mainstream niches. Want one example? My other blog, DailyWritingTips.com, was launched after this one, and despite that it receives more traffic and makes more advertising money.

Here are the numbers to give you a better idea: DailyBlogTips.com has around 5,000,000 backlinks according to Google, and it generates around 300,000 page views monthly. DailyWritingTips.com, on the other hand, has only 150,000 backlinks according to Google, yet it generates over 500,000 page views monthly (according to Google Analytics. as you can see in the image above).

What is the explanation? It is simple, the “writing tips” niche has less competition and a larger potential audience. Most of my new projects these days are on mainstream niches as well, exactly because I think there is more money to be made there.

The bottom line is: You don’t need to enter the “make money online” niche to have a profitable website. If you learn the Internet marketing principles and apply them to mainstream niches you might end up making more money.

Paid surveys are a great work from home opportunity to make some extra money in your spare time. Internet surveys are fun. At the same time, you help in the development of new products. Market research companies are interested in knowing your opinion on various matters on behalf of their clients. They are willing to pay you for the time you spend for them. Most of the reputed paid survey sites are online divisions of market research companies. They are all free to join and give rewards ranging from $1 to $100 or more per survey completed. Some paid survey sites enter you into sweepstakes where you can earn more money. Others may reward you with points which can be later redeemed for cash.
So how do you get paid for filling out online surveys? The fact is that just because something says it is an online survey, it doesn’t mean it is one; not, at least, in the terms we are discussing here. Often what you are looking at is merely a promotion dressed up as an online survey; or else it may even be a case of simple opportunism. If you are expecting to earn money from filling out surveys then the best rule of thumb to use is - are they offering to pay you for your effort? If not, then don’t bother, and if they are asking you to pay or accept some sort of offer of some kind then, again, don’t bother.

Serious online surveys aren’t going to cloud the issue with additional offers or attempts to coerce money out of you; they are there for the explicit purpose of discovering people with specific demographic profiles and, when they find those people, they want them to answer some questions for them. Don’t get sidetracked if your objective is to earn money from filling out surveys.

The more sites you join and the more profiles you fill out then the more opportunities you will gain access to.

By joining a survey site and filling out a profile you are taking the first step towards getting paid for completing online surveys. Your profile acts like the demographic profile screening which determines who will tale the full questionnaire. By entering your details you are telling the survey company what your demographic profile is, and any surveys which target your specific demographic will likely be offered to you. This can take time, since these demographic questionnaires ask a lot of questions and necessarily contain a lot of information. 一个古老的测试，以前做的时候没怎么注意，现在觉得它挺准的了

这是一个在网上广为流传的关于”左脑型”和”右脑型”的心理测试游戏，由于传播中的信息损失和变异，有人把它当作了智商测试。这个问题曾在网络上引起了热烈讨论，其实这个测试和智商无关，心理学家认为和”思维类型”有关。

如果看到舞蹈者逆时针旋转的时候更多，代表您是“左脑型”占优势；如果看到舞蹈者顺时针旋转的时候更多，代表您是“右脑型”占优势。

很少人会是纯粹的“左脑人”或“右脑人”，实际上你可能可以看到两种方向的旋转，只是他们的时间比例各有差异。

德国科学家赫尔曼.哈肯（Hermann Haken）在《大脑工作原理》一书中指出：“在对大脑的研究过程中发现，特定的功能可能源于大脑的某一区域。大脑的损伤和撞击是判明这种功能区域的第一个指示器。例如，撞击大脑的左半球会引起身体右侧瘫痪，比如右腿、右手臂和右手的瘫痪。与此类似，撞击大脑的右半球会引起身体左侧部位的瘫痪。”这是左右脑思维模型划分的一些生理依据。心理学上则认为左脑代表理性思维，如数理，计算；右脑掌控感性思维，如语言，音乐。

个人感想

我一直觉得自己是理性居多，但一开始看到的情况是顺时针旋转，说明我是感性思维占上风，虽然研究后发现能看到改变成逆时针的情况，但总觉得有些别扭。现在觉得这个测试挺准的，也许有些人和我相反，看顺时针比较别扭吧

怎么看两个方向呢？

只看舞者脚的话会发现这个脚只是左右摆动而已，也就是一半顺时针，一半逆时针的情况，然后脑中指定一个方向再看全体就可以看到想看的转向了，所以根据不同转向看到的时间比例（或者别扭指数）可以看出个人左右脑思维哪个更擅长。

关于原理

其实网上的解释也只是说出了一个心理现象+倾向而已，没有严格的科学证明，看到一个网友的留言挺有道理的，

“在三维空间坐标（x,y,z）上，加上时间，时空互相联系，就构成四维时空，就能构成一张动画。（旋转的图片也是四维空间）
但这张图只有平面（X,Y），和时间轴，缺少了Z坐标，人在看这幅舞动美女的时候，潜意识的将Z坐标放在旋转轴的左边，就产生逆时针旋转，潜意识的将Z坐标放在旋转轴的右边，就产生顺时针旋转。”

华硕asus X8A44IP/X8AIP安装xp系统，xp下所有驱动分享

今年五一买的华硕asus X8AIP，个人评价如下：

A：优点，第一感觉散热不错，键盘上面不烫，摸起来很舒服。

B：缺点：

1、配置上的显卡标明有点问题，右下角托盘的标签上写着G205显卡，用鲁大师，EVEREST&GPU等检测都是G102,跑波斯王子，有点飘移。

2、官网不提供XP驱动下载，都是windows7的驱动，所以安装xp很麻烦！其它的问题还待发现！

不过，如果你打算安装windows xp，这里为大家整理了一套asus X8A44IP/X8AIP 驱动，就不需要去网上找驱动了。

上面的显卡驱动文件太大，打成二个包，下载下来，放在同一路径下解压即可。以后文件已经测试过，没有毒，我的本本已正常安装。

个人是先安装的芯片组驱动程序，无线网卡驱动级应用程序和声卡修正档我没有安装！

转眼到了六七年新年，队里放一天假，马根儿粗收拾我们的机会来了。

我们九中队的二百零四个人，有五十余名来自三十多个国家的建国华侨和侨眷，其中不少是东南亚和美洲的侨领子弟。有二十几名文艺工作者，唱京剧的、演电影的、搞配音的、搞乐器的、搞作曲的、从事美术工作的，干什么的都有。还有十几名高级知识分子，其中几位是英语、法语、俄语、西班牙语的翻译工作者。更多的年轻人中间有包括天桥宝三的徒弟、北京业余青年摔跤冠军在内的一批体育爱好者，在我们中队有十几种语言流通着，有各式各样的文艺和体育爱好。到七十年代后期“四人帮”倒台前后，对我们管教的不那么严时，我们的文艺演出多次在师里面获奖，我们的摔跤选手们战胜了在新疆在全国都有名的摔跤手大毛拉和他的徒弟们，师里面和喀什地区有名的中学都到我们队里来请外语教师。不过这都是后话。

年三十后搞完大扫除就开始放假了。我们喝酒唱歌，音乐四起，有小提琴、黑管、二胡、扬琴、手风琴、吉它……（南城监狱留场职工带去的乐器）真是热闹。我们演奏两支革命歌曲和毛主席语录歌之后就夹上几支抒情歌曲，比如“海鸥”、“红河村”、“在伊洛瓦底江”、“只有在星期天”……还有人唱京剧、评剧，院子里有摔蒙古跤的，打泰拳的，还有拿大顶、扔垒球的……真把马根儿粗的鼻子气歪了，因为他一样也不懂。

到了半夜，我们在地窝子里轮流上段子（讲故事），有一堆是用印尼语讲的，有一堆是用英语讲的。我则坐在一位会说书的姓金的满族皇族后裔的旁边，听他讲北京故宫的故事。大家正听得津津有味时，马根儿粗醉熏熏地闯过了地窝子。他先指着另外两堆人说，从今天起谁也不准讲外国话，谁讲谁就是卖国贼，就是里通外国。然后，他转向姓金的老头儿：“你在散什么毒？”

刚才还满嘴吐沫子的金老头儿被马根儿粗那瞪得像牛蛋子似的眼睛吓得说不出话来。于是我替他回答：“他在讲北京故宫的故事。”

“哼，果然在散毒！故宫是什么人？故，根儿粗的就是旧吗！扫四旧就几个月了，你还敢散毒？”马根儿粗仍用牛蛋子眼瞪着金老头儿。

“马队长，故宫不是死人，是金銮殿，就是天安门后面的大院子，”
