&lt;p&gt;The man identified only as Yao, was brought down to safety after three hours of negotiation with his previous  employer. Yao accused him of not paying him a salary of 30,000 RMB, according to his wife. As a migrant worker from Jiangxi Province, Yao had worked in building construction for his previous employer three years ago in Chenghai District, Shantou City. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Firemen, policemen and the medics were on the scene when Yao got as close as two meters from the high tension cable. After coming down he was taken to the police station&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This is the third time the 39-year old is has topped the list within five years.  Huang controls the largest consumer electronics retailer in China and is also said to have interests in real estate.&lt;/p&gt;

After the opening ceremony of a synchronized bicycle performance, 100 riders set off from Qing&amp;#8217;ao Bay and headed for the finishing line at the Mazu Temple in Shen&amp;#8217;ao. They covered a distance of 13 kilometers along the Coast Road. Some riders stopped half way to rest and enjoy the sea scenery, and catch up with the rest of the group soon later.&lt;br /&gt;

This activity was organized by Nan&amp;#8217;ao government and and the Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) group from Shantou University. Another bicycle competition on Nan&amp;#8217;ao Island will be held on December 13th.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The government punished 223 of the 5,000 local enterprises that have been inspected since the beginning of the year.&lt;span id=&quot;more-266&quot;&gt;&lt;/span&gt; Among those punished are pollution-intensive industries like paper-making, printing and dyeing, and electroplating.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;China&amp;#8217;s 11th Five-Year Development Guidelines (2006-2010) require Shantou to reduce sulphur-dioxide emission to less than 10,000 tons, chemical oxygen demand to less then 35.000 tons and shut down 11 small (700,000 KW) thermal generators for meeting the national standard.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Some power plants have completed upgrades for sulphur emission reduction and others have also begun to upgrade their generators.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Nan&amp;#8217;ao Island is located in the south west of the Taiwan Strait and its wind-energy generation potential is among the highest in the world. Over the years, it has become a &amp;#8216;hot&amp;#8217; favourite for companies wanting to invest in clean-electricity.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;InfraVest GmbH from Germany is building infrastructure needed for generating 20,000 kw of electricity. A large Chinese venture, the China Guangdong Nuclear Power, has also begun preliminary work for investing in wind-electricity in Nan&amp;#8217;ao.  Upon completion of the projects in the pipeline Nan&amp;#8217;ao will generate about 400 thousand kilowatts of clean power.&lt;/p&gt;
